Our signature program provides student athletes (ages 10 - 18) with current knowledge and proper techniques regarding Strength and Conditioning. Instruction also includes Growth Mindset development, Behavior Modification techniques, Nutrition Education, Time Management sessions, and many other tools for our members to become the best version of themselves at home, with their peers, in the classroom, and on the field.
Sports Academy Members spend at least 2-3 days a week lifting weights. Exercises chosen are applicable to all sports and the difficulty in exercises performed by each athlete is both age, and performance (experienced) based. We utilize dumbbells, barbells, half racks for squats and pull-ups, machines, TRX Bands, Medicine and Wall Balls. There are plenty of cardio machines such as our Concept II Commercial Rowing Machines, Rogue Echo Assault Air Bikes, Boxing Bags, Push/Pull Sleds, Bosu Trainers, Slide Boards, etc.
Sports Academy Members are provided with USA Track & Field Level I coaching experience on how to improve speed, agility, and quickness. We also encompass low to high level plyometric training using agility ladders, hurdles, parachutes, bungees, and plenty of foam plyometric boxes.
Each week the Sports Academy Members spend at least one day stretching and reinforcing the importance of daily stretching. We go through both dynamic and static stretching, foam rolling, myofascial release using softballs, PNF stretching, and several other methods to ensure their bodies are flexible and their mobility is optimal. Members are educated on the importance of ice baths, Epson salt baths, hot/cold treatment for injuries, etc.
Sports Academy Members are educated on the importance of the proper ways to fuel their bodies with food, fluids, and vitamins.
Self Care is taught through teaching the importance of creating and respecting personal boundaries, prioritizing me time, taking care of skin and personal hygiene, etc.
Time management assignments are given throughout the year to provide self audits of time to ensure members are focused and productive.
Morning routine implementation consist of affirmations, meditation, stretching, prayer or spiritual time, and daily S.M.A.R.T goal setting.
